Web hosting with a free SSL certificate
Every ABCTeck Hosting plan includes a free SSL certificate from Let's Encrypt. For your main domain it is added automatically once the domain points to us, and it renews on its own, so you never buy, request or install anything. Plans start at $5.00 a month with no long-term contract.

What SSL does for your site
An SSL certificate puts the padlock in the browser and lets visitors reach your site over https://. Without one, browsers can show a Not secure warning that makes visitors leave. With one, the connection between your visitor and your site is encrypted.
How it works on ABCTeck Hosting
What happens depends on the address.
| Situation | What happens | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Your main domain, pointing to us | The certificate is added automatically and renews by itself | Free SSL certificates |
| A subdomain such as blog.yourdomain.com | One click in the dashboard: open SSL, pick the subdomain, click Install Free SSL | Add a subdomain |
| Your domain does not point to us yet | The certificate cannot be issued until the domain points to us | Pointing your domain |
| Visitors typing http:// | Turn on the HTTPS redirect to send them to the secure address | HTTPS redirect |
| A Not secure warning anyway | Follow the usual causes and fixes | Not secure warning |
Get HTTPS in four steps
- Choose a plan and add your domain in the dashboard.
- Put your site online by uploading your files or installing WordPress.
- Point your domain's nameservers to ns1.abcteck.com and ns2.abcteck.com at your registrar.
- Turn on the HTTPS redirect. The certificate is added automatically once the domain points to us.
Why HTTPS matters for a business site
Visitors look for the padlock before they type a name into a contact form or pay for something. A site without HTTPS can show a Not secure warning in the browser, and many visitors leave when they see one. HTTPS also protects the details people send through your site while they are in transit.
Because SSL is included in every plan, there is no reason to run a business site without it.
Check your certificate
- Open SSL in your dashboard.
- Choose the address from the list at the top.
- Active means the certificate is installed and renews automatically.
- Not Installed means you click Install Free SSL. We check that the address points to us, then install the certificate.
If the address does not point to us yet, the certificate cannot be issued. Finish the nameserver change first. See Pointing your domain.
