Cookie Policy
Version 1 · Last updated: November 3, 2026
1. Your choice
You have not made a choice yet. Until you do, we use only the necessary cookies and count page views anonymously, with no cookie and no ID.
2. The three choices
| Full tracking | Necessary only | No tracking | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cookies | The necessary ones, plus one anonymous visitor cookie (abc_a, up to 400 days) | Only the necessary ones | Only the necessary ones |
| Your visit | Recognised when you come back, so we can see which pages, searches and links bring people to us, and which of them become customers | Counted as an anonymous page view: the page, the kind of site you came from and the kind of device. No cookie, no ID, no IP address, and visits cannot be linked together | Not counted at all |
| When you sign up or buy | We record which source brought you, so we know which marketing works | We record that an account was created or a plan was bought, not where you came from | Same as "Necessary only" |
We never use cookies for advertising, we do not build profiles, and we never sell or share this information with advertisers. Analytics is our own: it is not sent to Google or any other analytics company.
3. The cookies we use
| Name | What it does | Who sets it | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ABCTH_SSO | Keeps you signed in across abcteck.com and your dashboard, protects forms and the checkout from forgery, and keeps your checkout together | Us | Until you close your browser | Necessary |
abc_consent | Remembers the choice you make on this page | Us | 12 months | Necessary |
abc_td | "Remember this device" for two-step sign-in. Only set if you tick that box when you sign in | Us | 30 days, or the number of days in your account settings | Necessary (only when you ask for it) |
abc_a | An anonymous visitor ID: recognises a returning browser, groups page views into visits and lets us credit a signup or sale to the source that brought you. It contains no name, email or IP address | Us | Up to 400 days | Analytics. Only with "Full tracking" |
Our own staff may also have a cookie in their browsers that tells the site not to count their visits.
Other companies
- PayPal. When you open the checkout page, PayPal's payment buttons load from paypal.com. PayPal may set its own cookies and read information from your browser to take the payment and to prevent fraud. See PayPal's privacy statement.
- Stripe. Card payments are handled by Stripe, which has its own privacy and cookie policies.
- Fonts. The site's fonts are served from our own server. Your browser does not contact Google or anyone else to show them.
4. What we record without cookies
Our servers keep access logs (IP address, the page requested, the time and the result) for security and to find faults. They are kept for 30 days. This happens whatever you choose, because it is needed to keep the service secure. Search engines and AI services also visit the site automatically; we count those visits separately and never as people.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal and you have not made a choice, we start you on "No tracking". If you choose another option yourself, we follow your choice.
6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
- Choose again on this page, or use "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. Changing is as easy as choosing.
- If you move away from "Full tracking", we remove the
abc_acookie and delete the analytics records tied to it. The account or payment you made stays, but it no longer says where you came from. - We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if this policy changes.
- You can also delete cookies in your browser at any time. Without the necessary ones you will be signed out.
We keep a record of each choice (a random ID, your choice, the policy version and the date, never your IP address) for 3 years, so we can show what was agreed.
