Common questions

How long does setup take?

Your hosting account is ready in about a minute after payment. Your site goes live once your domain points to us; DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to take effect everywhere. A free SSL certificate is issued automatically as soon as your domain points to us.

How do I point my domain to ABC Teck?

At your domain registrar, set the nameservers to ns1.abcteck.com and ns2.abcteck.com. Alternatively, keep your current DNS provider and point the A records for your domain and www to your server's IP address, shown on the SSL page of your dashboard. In either case, changes can take up to 48 hours to take effect.

How do I create an email address on my domain?

In your dashboard, go to Email and select Create email account. Choose the address (for example, info@yourbusiness.com) and a password. The mailbox is ready within a minute and works with any email application over IMAP and SMTP.

How do I enable HTTPS?

No action is required. Every site receives a free SSL certificate from Let's Encrypt automatically: we check your domain every few minutes and install the certificate as soon as it points to us. Certificates renew automatically.

What happens if I exceed my storage or bandwidth?

We notify you by email when you reach 80% of a limit. If you reach the limit, your site stays online, but uploads are paused until you free up space or upgrade your plan from Billing.

How do I access my files?

Use the File manager in your dashboard, or connect over FTP or SFTP with the credentials shown under Account.

How do backups work?

Every plan backs up your site automatically. Starter: weekly on Sundays, with the four most recent retained. Pro and Business: daily, retained for 14 days. Pro and Business can also create on-demand backups at no charge. Starter plans can add daily backups ($2.99 per month) or a one-time backup ($2.99). Any backup can be downloaded or restored with one click from Backups in your dashboard.

Can I host more than one website?

Yes. Pro and Business plans include multiple websites. Add each one from Domains in your dashboard; each site has its own files and storage.

Which PHP versions are available?

Several current PHP versions are available, and you can select the version for each domain in your dashboard.

How do I share a password with your team?

Never include passwords or payment details in tickets or chat; they are blocked automatically. Use Secrets in your dashboard instead: our team can view a secret once, after which it is permanently deleted.
