1. Purpose
This AUP exists to protect the integrity, reliability, and security of our infrastructure and to ensure a safe environment for all customers. Misuse of shared resources degrades service quality for everyone.
2. Permitted Uses
Our hosting services are designed for:
- Hosting legitimate websites, web applications, and e-commerce stores
- Running WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and other standard CMS platforms
- Sending transactional emails from your hosted applications
- Storing files, databases, and email associated with your domain
- Hosting personal, business, and non-profit websites
๐ซ Strictly Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension without refund:
- Spam & Bulk Email โ Sending unsolicited bulk email, running mailing lists without confirmed opt-in, or any activity that results in our IPs being blacklisted.
- Malware & Hacking โ Distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious code. Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system.
- Phishing & Fraud โ Creating fake login pages, identity theft schemes, financial fraud, or any deceptive practices.
- Illegal Content โ Hosting or distributing content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours, including CSAM (zero tolerance, reported to authorities immediately).
- Copyright Infringement โ Hosting pirated software, movies, music, or other copyrighted material without authorization.
- Network Abuse โ DDoS attacks, port scanning, network flooding, or any activity that disrupts network infrastructure.
- Cryptocurrency Mining โ Using our servers for cryptocurrency mining or similar resource-intensive processes unrelated to web hosting.
- Proxy & VPN Services โ Operating open proxies, VPN endpoints, or anonymizing services for third parties.
- Resource Abuse โ Consuming excessive CPU, memory, or bandwidth that degrades service for other customers (shared hosting limits apply).
- Hate Speech & Violence โ Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups.
3. Email Sending Policy
If your application sends emails, you must:
- Only send to recipients who have explicitly consented (opt-in)
- Include a working unsubscribe mechanism in every marketing email
- Honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days
- Comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and other applicable laws
- Not exceed 500 outbound emails per hour on shared hosting plans
4. Resource Usage
Shared hosting plans include fair-use resource limits. Sustained usage above these limits may result in throttling or a request to upgrade:
- CPU: Sustained use above 10% of a single core for extended periods
- Memory: Applications should stay within plan allocation
- Bandwidth: Soft limit per plan; burst usage is acceptable, sustained abuse is not
- Inodes (files): Maximum 250,000 files per account on shared plans
5. Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for securing your applications and files:
- Keep CMS software (WordPress, etc.) and plugins up to date
- Use strong, unique passwords for admin accounts and databases
- Remove unused plugins, themes, and old application installations
- If your account is compromised and sends spam or distributes malware, we will suspend it. You will need to clean and secure your account before reinstatement.
6. Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is using our infrastructure to violate this policy, please report it to abuse@abcteckhosting.com. Include the IP address, URL, and a description of the violation. We investigate all reports within 24 hours.
7. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Written warning (for minor, first-time violations)
- Temporary service suspension pending investigation
- Permanent account termination without refund
- Reporting to law enforcement authorities where legally required
We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates this policy at our sole discretion, without prior notice for serious violations.
8. Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended in error, email appeals@abcteckhosting.com within 14 days. We review all appeals within 48 hours and respond with a decision.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. We will provide notice via email for significant changes. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance.
